This pertains to you if:
1. Set the system paths and your email address in the blat_test.pl script and put your email address in the blat_test.txt file. 2. Upload these files in ASCII format to your cgi-bin. 3. Point your browser at the script, wait about 1 or 2 minutes, then check your email. Example: http://www.YourName.com/cgi-bin/blat_test.pl 4. If you received an email then set Host Variable #6 in the vars.dat file with the correct system path to Blat and the cart will be able to send out email receipts through Blat. 5. If you didn't get an email from Blat, then forward these instructions to your host and ask them to prove that Blat is working when called from a CGI Perl script. Your host may modify the blat_test.pl script any way they feel is necessary to demonstrate (prove) that Blat is working when called from a CGI Perl script. 6. After your host gets Blat working, set Host Variable #6 in the vars.dat file with the correct system path to Blat and the cart will be able to send out email receipts through Blat. If your host required that the SMTP address be set then make sure you set that also in Host Variable #6 like so: -->C:\winnt\system32\blat.exe|mail.hostname.com In Host Variable #6, the system path to Blat and the SMTP are to be separated by a pipe character "|". 7. After your host proves that Blat is working, if you need any help setting Host Variable #6 in the vars.dat file, let us know. |
